Notes:

In 1892, per census, Charity Calkins was the mother of four children, Everett, Mabel, Roy, and Lorene. Roy died in 1895, and Mabel died in 1901.¹

Charity was a resident of Oakfield when she bought land from C. Lynn Calkins, also of Oakfield, on 18 Apr 1894.²

She died in Oakfield and was survived by her husband; a son, Everett B. Calkins, a daughter, Mrs. Frank V. Smith, both of Oakfield; two brothers Milton Baldwin of Qaupaca, Wisconsin, and Albert C. Baldwin of Greenville, Michigan; and two sisters, Mrs. Frances Hopper of Howell, Michigan, and Mrs. Henry Edgerton of Batavia.³
